Back in the ‘90’s there was a Bill Murray movie called “Groundhog Day”, where he plays a reporter who is sent to cover a story on the infamous Punxsutawney Phil groundhog. He hates it and makes no effort to hide his hatred for it. Well he wakes up the next day to find that he is reliving Groundhog Day all over again. The same thing happens the next day and the next day. He is forced to come to the realization that he is stuck re-living the same day over and over again.
Do you ever feel like you are stuck in a rut? Do you feel as if there are circumstances in your life that you can’t change? Unlike Bill Murray’s character, you don’t have to keep doing the same thing over and over. You don’t have to live your life going through the motions. You don’t like your job? Get a new one! Better yet, change careers! You feel stuck in your surroundings? Move to a new city and meet new people! Sometimes stepping out on faith is all you have to do. Remember, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Even though you may not see the results yet, just know that God is working things out on your behalf.
