Matthew Chapter 4: Allow Yourself to be Ministered To

June 5, 2018

One of the hardest things as men to do is accept help. We just don’t like it. We would rather do things ourselves and do them our way. But that is not what God tells us.  In Matthew chapter 4, we see Jesus in the wilderness being tempted by the devil.  After Jesus rebuked him, God sent angels to minister to him.

Now if Jesus, the savior of the world, allowed himself to be ministered to, surely we can too!  You can pray and pray and pray for God to help you, but when he sends you someone to minister to you, you reject him or her.  Why?  God has blessed each of us with different gifts.

Be willing to accept help from someone who has a different gift than you.  Some people are better with money than you are. Some people have the “the gift of gab” or they are natural influencers of others. There are those who are innovative and creative. The point is, whether you need help in your personal life or career, God has sent you people to minister to you.  All you need to do is listen.
