Norm Miller | Average Joe
https://gameplanforlife.com Norm Miller, Co-Founder of I am Second, shares his story. After getting pulled over for drunk driving, he called out to God. “I started drinking at the age of 14… what are we here for? Let’s have some fun!... I was just drinking, partying, and selling batteries… I’ve lost control of my life here… God, help me, I can’t handle it… my friend started telling me about the bible.. it’s the Word of God given to man exactly as He intended it.. archaeologists use the bible to find things… the fruit of the spirit is love, peace and joy… that’s what I want. So I prayed to receive Christ.” Watch more videos like this here: https://www.gameplanforlife.com/watch-videos

Charlie Ward | Average Joe
Charlie Ward won a Heisman, but never played in the NFL. See how overcoming addiction fueled his fired to become an NBA star. "Humility is always going to win out." “Fortunate to play under Bobby Bowden… played 11 years in the NBA… being a mentor and helping people follow Christ is the best way to go all the time. There’s always a struggle. During my NBA career, pornography was something I had to deal with. If something is going to be removed, you have to replace it with something. My wife has been a great blessing to me, we have been married for 18 years. She sees what I can’t see. Whatever you do, give God the glory through it all. If we are pleasing God, other people will see the fruit we are bearing. As I look back on my life, I definitely see God’s hand. I am grateful that I am able to instill in young people the things that were instilled in me.”

Darryl Strawberry | Average Joe
Darryl Strawberry was at the top of his game in the late 80's and early 90's when addiction and personal trials struck him. But, this Average Joe decided that God had the final say in the direction for his life! Darryl Eugene Strawberry Sr. (born March 12, 1962) is an American former professional baseball right fielder and an ordained Christian minister and author. Strawberry is well known for his 17-year career in Major League Baseball (MLB). Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Strawberry was one of the most feared sluggers in the sport, known for his prodigious home runs and his intimidating presence in the batter's box with his 6-foot-6 frame and his long, looping swing that elicited comparisons to Ted Williams.
