JOE GIRARDI
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL
PLAYER AND MANAGER
Joe Girardi is best known for being a major league baseball catcher and manager. Joe's career was decorated with success. But things began to change in his life when his mother was diagnosed with cancer. He used to play to give his mom something to live for, but when she passed away, it left him wondering why he was playing. His girlfriend at the time told him that God gave him this gift so he could use it as his platform someday. It's incredible how God has brought this to fruition.

Over the course of his career, he played for the Chicago Cubs, the Colorado Rockies, the New York Yankees and the St. Louis Cardinals. With the Yankees, he won three World Series Championships as a player. In 2006, he managed the Florida Marlins and was named the National League Manager of the Year. Girardi managed the Yankees from 2008 to 2017, winning the 2009 World Series.
