HIP-HOP ARTIST

Kevin Burgess, known by his stage name KB, is a Two-Time Dove Award-Winning Rapper. He was signed as a solo artist to Reach Records in 2010. After releasing a mixtape in 2011 entitled 'Who Is KB?', his debut album, 'Weight & Glory', was released on July 17, 2012, to critical acclaim. On April 21, 2015, he released his second album, 'Tomorrow We Live'. His most recent album is titled: 'Today We Rebel'.

In the video below, KB talks about his journey to becoming a Christian Hip Hop Artist. "When I became a believer, I saw how effective hip hop was in reaching people... I felt a conviction that this was what I was meant to do," he said. He talks about how artists use music to articulate what is most important to them. Since his relationship with God is the most important thing in his life, he has made it his goal to write lyrics that speak to that. His hope is that people will come to know the Lord through his music. "You cannot deny how music can shift a culture and how it can move people forward," he said. "My life has not been a steady bed of roses... but Jesus gave me something that circumstances can't take from me."
