LONDON FLETCHER
NFL PLAYER
London Fletcher is a former NFL linebacker. He played college football at John Carroll, and signed with the St. Louis Rams in 1998. In addition to the Rams, he played for the Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins. Fletcher is well-known for never missing a game in his career, being one of only five players in NFL history to play in over 250 consecutive games. He had a very successful career but he said what brings him the most joy is his relationship with God.

"I spent years chasing things I thought would bring me everlasting joy and happiness: chasing Super Bowl rings or a multi-million dollar contract; or a new house, cars and jewelry. None of those things did for me what Christ did in an instant," he said.

London’s sister was raped and murdered during his childhood, leading him mom in a downward spiral of drugs and depression. It wasn't until both he and his mom accepted Jesus as their savior that they were able to look at the situation in a different light. He is constantly challenging himself to be not just a hearer of the Word but a doer of the Word.
